Pet Food Express is one of the country's leading independent pet food and supply retailers. With 51 stores located throughout California. Our corporate offices, Pet Food University, and distribution center are all located in Oakland, California.
We love pets! It is the glue that unites our company. Employees and customers are welcome to bring their well-behaved pets to our stores. As part of our commitment to animal welfare, we have helped find homes for over 60,000 homeless animals through Norcal Pet Adoptions and we work closely with and materially support numerous local SPCAs and pet rescue organizations. Additionally, we sponsor adoptions, low cost vaccination clinics, and dog training classes at most of our stores. Our state-of-the-art Self-Service Pet Washes provide a unique and useful service for our customers. We truly try to be a welcome asset to each of the local communities that we serve!

Our Low Price Guarantee
Pet Food Express will beat a competitor’s price on the identical item by 10% of the price or $1.00, whichever is less* (conditions apply)
How it works…
If the price of the item is $10.00 or less, we will beat it by 10% of the competitor’s price.
Example: A competitor sells an item for $5.00 and PFE sells it for $6.00. We will sell it to you for $4.50 (10% of $5.00)
If the price of the item is more than $10.00, we will beat it by $1.00.
Example: A competitor sells an item for $15.00 and PFE sells it for $16.00. We will sell it to you for $14.00.
Who is a competitor?
The Low Price Guarantee applies to any retail store in our market area.
Verification of price and availability
We must be able to verify the competitor’s price and that it is in stock through a current advertisement, receipt less than 30-days-old, or a phone call to the seller in order to beat the price.
The product and packaging must be identical to what we are selling. If the competitor has any limitations on the deal, we may impose the same limit. If there are any other terms or conditions on the sale, we may match them. Distressed, seconded, and damaged goods are excluded.
This policy is subject to change at any time in our sole discretion.
We will gladly refund any item purchased from Pet Food Express within 30 days of the original purchase date as long as it is in new condition, with all packaging and accompanied by the original purchase receipt. Items not meeting these conditions may be exchanged or returned for store credit.
At our discretion, cash or check purchases over $50 may be refunded by check from our main office (allow 10 business days). Debit card purchases will be refunded in cash, provided that we have sufficient funds on hand. Credit card purchases will be credited to your card the same day (your bank will post it to your account according to its policy).
We require your name, address and a photo i.d. for all refunds (Calif. Civil Code Sec. 1723).
