Adopt A Cat Or Kitten At The ACC’s New Satellite Adoption Center

August 17, 2011

SF Appeal

Interested in owning a cat or kitten? Now's the time to do so, as SF's Animal Care & Control says that more cats than ever need a loving home in the city. And now you have one more place to meet your new pal!

For their first time ever, Animal Care & Control will be partnering with a business to open a permanent satellite cat adoption center to meet those animals' needs.

This Saturday, August 20th, there will be a kitten "yarn cutting" ceremony to mark the grand opening of the center, located at SF's Pet Food Express at 1975 Market St.

There will also be lots of adoptable cats and kittens on hand and adoption fees (which vary) will also be reduced by $50 to mark the occasion.

"Recently, cats have been staying longer in the shelter than they have in years and need a new chance for adopters to find them," said the ACC in a statement. Here's hoping they get found this weekend, and beyond.

When: Saturday, August 20th from 11am-3pm, with a Kitten "Yarn Cutting" at noon
