DURANGO, Colo.–The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund (DCCFund), a non-profit that awards grants directly to pet parents to help make cancer treatment for dogs and cats affordable, is expanding its program. The DCCFund will increase cancer treatment grants to pet parents from $900 per pet to $1,200. The increase is a result of generous contributions and fundraising efforts of the organization’s retail and pet product manufacturer partners.

The largest donors to the DCCFund in 2011 were Zuke’s Performance Pet Nutrition ($60,000), Pet Food Express Stores ($25,000) and Pet Life stores ($12,000). The contributions made it possible for the DCCFund to accept 40 pets into its grant program last year.
