PLEASANTON -- A retailer specializing in the furry four-legged clientele is moving to the city sometime in December.
Pet Food Express has signed a lease to occupy the former Hollywood Video space on Santa Rita Road in the Amador Center Shopping Center, said Pamela Ott, the city's director of economic development.
Hollywood Video closed its doors in Pleasanton in early 2010.
Pet Food Express announced Thursday that it is moving its headquarters from San Leandro to Oakland. It also unveiled plans to open new stores in El Cerrito, San Jose and San Francisco. The chain currently has 35 stores in Northern California.
