Saturday & Sunday: Weekend Event at Pet Food Express for Local Police K9′s

Here’s news about an event in Concord this weekend, which will help our local Concord Police K9′s.
The following information is from the Concord Police Department:
The event, “Cover your K9″, is a non-profit organization that raises money to provide vests for the K9′s, trauma kits, patrol car heat alarms and grants for working and retired K9’s medical expenses.
Last year “Cover your K9″ purchased custom made vests for all our current Police dogs. This was well over a $10,000 donation.
CPD K9’s will be at the Concord Pet Food Express (5404 Ygnacio Valley Blvd. next to CVS) on Saturday and Sunday (June 30th and July 1st) from 11am-2pm.
How can you participate? All you have to do is come to any Pet Food Express on June 30th and July 1st and wash your dog (actually, here’s a secret, you can buy dog wash tokens for the fundraiser starting NOW).
All the money ($15/token) from the dog washes during that weekend will go directly to help K9s in Northern California (100%). So you get a clean dog and get to help K9s at the same time! In fact, you can buy all the tokens you need for the whole year this weekend, and all the money will go to the K9′s.
