Since 1973 Dan has been employed as a professional animal trainer working with a wide variety of both exotic animals (marine mammals, dolphins, Killer Whales, sea lions) and domestic animals. He's also worked with and trained elephants, chimpanzees, tigers, leopards, cougars and smaller primates.

Dan began his career in Southern California where he grew up; during the past 40 years he has worked in animal facilities in Japan, France, Germany, Iceland, England, Thailand, Spain, Canada and Mexico. He has been very fortunate to have a career that has been extremely enjoyable in so many ways, working with amazing animals and teaching others to care for and train them.

In 2008, Dan took his love of dogs and combined it with his extensive training background to start his own dog training business, GOOD DOG! Dog Training.

Class Schedule

Sundays: 3-4pm - Family Dog 1 (for dogs over 5 months of age)

Class Description and Pricing

Cost: $175 for 5 weeks

Family Dog: This class gives an introduction to simple cues such as sit, come and stay and walking with a loose leash. We'll cover problem prevention, for example, potty training, chewing, biting, jumping, digging and more. We'll learn about socializing with other dogs and people and play relationship forming games. The class will also cover responsible dog ownership including general health, the importance of exercise and socializing with other dogs. For those who are interested in taking their dog to a dog park or dog beach we will cover dog park etiquette and sound advice when visiting such a facility.
