Gloria Post - Hands On Dog Training
Trainer: Gloria Post - CPDT-KA
Today everybody's schedule is so busy that it's hard to imagine finding the time to add one more "job" to your already packed daily schedule. Training your dog should not be a chore, hard or frustrating. Gloria's classes will "teach" you to train your dog using positive training methods, which will produce a "thinking", well-behaved dog.
We all love our dogs and want them to be well-mannered companions in our homes, with our children and in public. By attending training classes with your dog, you won't have to feel embarrassed because your dog jumps up on your family or friends or is still having house breaking issues. Each class is structured to help you to feel empowered to handle your dog in the real world by incorporating basic obedience skills into everyday life events.
Gloria offers a variety of group classes that are held indoors in a clean and safe environment. In-home private training is also available.

Open Enrollment Puppy Class: Open enrollment classes are designed so that people may jump in at any time. Open enrollment classes take a different approach so that you can start taking classes the same week you sign up. After starting your first class, you will attend all 6 sessions in a row. Your puppy gets the opportunity to meet new puppies and people almost every week. This class is designed for young puppies between the ages of 10 weeks and 5 months. This class is structured to help socialize puppies with other puppies as well as new people. This is a very critical socialization period in your puppy's life and introductions should be pleasant. You will learn to address puppy issues such as housebreaking, mouthing, jumping up and gently touching. Your puppy will learn basic obedience behaviors such as sit, down, come, walking nicely on a leash and greeting people appropriately all taught with a different weekly theme.
Basic Manners I Class: This is a 7 week class designed for dogs 5 months and older who have not attended a puppy class. Your dog will learn sit, down, stand, leave it, come, stay, and walking on a loose leash. We will also address specific behavior problems owners might be experiencing with their "adolescent" dogs. Owners attend class 1 without their dogs, dogs will attend classes 2 - 7.
