Just Rewards provides training and behavior consulting for dogs of all breeds and ages. We use positive reinforcement methods, including clicker training, that are gentle and rewarding for both you and your canine companion. The Just Rewards philosophy combines an understanding of how dogs learn with positive reinforcement to quickly and effectively teach you to communicate with your dog.
Our goal is to help you train the dog you’ve always wanted. Classes are SMALL for individualized attention and problem solving. Methods are simple, easy and fun for the whole family! Whether your dog needs obedience training from A to Z, a little tune up on his manners or has a serious behavior problem like aggression towards dogs, we can help!

Class Description and Pricing
Cost: Classes are typically $160 for 6 weeks. Super Tricks classes are $100 for 4 weeks.
Please note: there is a $10 discount for spayed/neutered or adopted dogs
Puppy Manners Part 1: This 6-week program is for puppies between 10 and 20 weeks old at the start of class. Early training is critical to the development and socialization of your new puppy. This course is designed to help you and your puppy start off on the right paw. Included in this course:
- socialization with other puppies and people
- teaching good bite inhibition
- housetraining basics
- crate training
- acclimating your puppy to being gently handled all over his/her body
- teaching basic household manners
- learning the fundamentals of obedience training including how dogs learn by association and by consequence and the basics of positive reinforcement training
- helping you determine what motivates your puppy and how to use that effectively to train the behaviors you want
Your puppy will also learn behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come, watch, wait at doors, greet people nicely, leave forbidden items, and walk on a loose leash. Playtime with the other puppies is included each class. The goal is to have a well-socialized and well-mannered puppy at home and when out in public.
This program is for puppies between 10 and 20 weeks old at the start of class. The first class is an orientation for humans only.
Puppy Manners Part 2: This 6-week program is for puppies that have completed our Puppy Manners or similar course and know the basics such as sit, down, stay, and come. It is designed for puppies that are ready to work the basics in much harder situations. This course is for those wanting to:
- continue socializing your puppy with other friendly puppies and humans
- further strengthen your relationship and communication with your puppy
- help your puppy gain fluency in the basic skills you learned in the Puppy Manners course and take these to the next level by incorporating them into more complex behaviors
- take it on the road and practice all the behaviors in the real world and in every day life situations
Your puppy will learn behaviors such as sit and down with real life distractions; longer sit and down stays; “come” in the real world; go to their “place”; basic heeling; leaving things alone while out for a walk; proper etiquette for meeting and playing with dogs; beginning off leash work; some fun tricks; and will continue to work on good manners.
This program is for puppies that have taken our Puppy Manners course or the equivalent and that are less than 10 months old. Bring your puppy to the first class.
Basic Manners: This 6-week program is for dogs with little to no training or for those wanting to learn how to train their dog using positive reinforcement. This course is designed to:
- teach your dog basic household manners
- help you determine what motivates your dog and how to use that to quickly and effectively train the behaviors you want
- teach problem solving for both you and your dog
- build reliability around distractions such as other dogs, people, noises
- manage common issues such as barking and jumping
Your dog will learn behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come, watch, wait at doors, greet people nicely, leave forbidden items, walk on a loose leash, and drop items when asked. The goal is to have a well-mannered dog at home and when out in public.
This program is for dogs 5 months of age and older. The first class is an orientation for humans only.
Intermediate Manners: This 6-week program is for dogs that have completed our Basic Manners or similar course and know the basics such as sit, down, stay, and come. It is designed for dogs that are ready to kick it up a notch and work the basics in much harder situations. This course is for those wanting to:
- further strengthen your relationship and communication with your dog
- help your dog gain fluency in the basic skills you learned in the Basic Manners course and take these to the next level by incorporating them into more complex behaviors
- take it on the road and practice all the behaviors in the real world and in every day life situations
Your dog will learn behaviors such as sit, down and stand from a distance and with real life distractions; long sit and down stays; “come” in the real world; basic heeling; leaving things alone while out for a walk; proper etiquette for meeting and playing with dogs; beginning off leash work; and some fun tricks.
This program is for dogs that have taken our Basic Manners course or the equivalent. Bring your dog to the first class.
