Weepy Eyes
Your cat's eyes are very prone to infection and irritation. The most common symptom that something is wrong is a "weepy" eye. The eyeball will appear irritated and watery, may have a white or blue area, or the lid may be swollen. This condition normally indicates an eye that is irritated by foreign matter. You should flush the eye with a neutral solution to try and remove the object. If you are unsuccessful in dislodging the object, or the eye does not clear up within a couple hours, contact your vet.
Protruding "Third Eyelid"
A protrusion of the "third eyelid", a white skin, always indicates some form of illness. The type of illness varies, and does not have to involve the eye itself. I know of a case where the protrusion of the "third eyelid" was caused by an ear infection. Whenever this symptom is noted contact your vet immediately.
