Paws Place was established in May 1994 in the hope that dogs could have a fun place to "hang out". Most dogs, like their owners are social by nature and enjoy having company and friends. Here our dogs are treated like family and we develop a personal relationship with every one. Each dog that is entrusted to us is spoken to and touched on a constant basis. You will always see wagging tails and happy faces at our facility. Young or old, shy or outgoing, there is rarely a dog that we can't win over and make our friend!

Largest dog park in the county! Park is located at 995 Hellyer Ave in San Jose.

Mission: Cats offers a cat-only experience that ensures you come home to a happy, healthy kitty. With a powerful HEPA air filtration system clean air moves through our over 1200 sf space. Kitties are given purified water and kept well supplied with their favorite toys and treats. We never charge extra for playtime and cuddles. We house a small number of cats, enabling us to give each cat the attention and admiration it deserves. Our staff is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR through he American Red Cross. We are ensured by Kennel Pro. We have a security cameras (and even better, kitty cams!), as well as a sprinkler system. We are located two blocks from the 24 hour San Francisco Veterinary Specialists.

Puppy Classes: I offer six-week group sessions for puppies 3-6 months old. We will cover the following in class: sit, down, stay, come, heel, loose leash walking, leave it, watch, wait (at doorways), off (no jumping), socializing, basic manners including housetraining and chewing, fetch, and distance commands. These are structured classes with lesson plans and written homework. Class is limited to 7 puppies, so that each puppy and family get individual attention every week. Advanced Classes: I also offer six-week group courses for those who have graduated from the puppy class or who would like more advanced training. These classes emphasize proofing basic commands such as come and stay, so that your dog can be reliable in real-life, distracting situations. I also teach new skills and, when students are interested, lay foundation work for those who want to get their dog's CGC or start in Rally. For more information or to sign-up, (925) 926-0929.

Field of Dogs is located behind the Marin County Civic Center on Civic Center Drive near North San Pedro Road. Open sunrise to sunset; fenced, parking, benches, tables, poop bags & scoopers, handicap access, trees, water, drinking fountain, trashcans and shelter. 2/3 acre, completely fenced with a double-gated entrance, warm and friendly people and dogs - a daily delight, completely run and supported by a group of dedicated volunteers.

Take the N. San Pedro Road exit off Route 101 and go east. At the first stop light, turn left onto Civic Center Drive. The dog park is on the right, just past the Post Office and Fire Station. There is some parking along Civic Center Drive, and lots more in the public parking lot just beyond the park and the petanque court. (Do not cross the petanque court. Please walk around it).
