Cat of the Week in Walnut Creek - Charlie Contra Costa County Animal Services

Hello, my name is Charlie, and I’m 2 years and a month old. My fur is orange, and I have striking golden eyes. Something else that you will notice about me is the distinctive black dots around my nose. I purr right when you hold me, and I’m very fond of being cradled. One of my favorite activities is exploring the places around where I live in the Cat Center. Open cupboards are great! I also love to jump out of my condo into the playroom – I’m always ready to play! I have a very sweet personality, and I’m quite affectionate to all of the humans who come by to see me. I keep hoping that someone coming up to the window will want to take me home with them.

More and more pets are finding themselves homeless because their families are facing tough economic times.  AniMeals Pet Food Bank is a partnership of Contra Costa Humane Society, the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, and Pet Food Express that helps financially challenged families and individuals keep their pets in the home.  CCHS is happy to assist our community by providing supplementary pet food to the most needy in Contra Costa County.

AniMeals works with community groups, local businesses, and compassionate individuals to collect pet food and, through our partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, distribute these goods to our community's neediest families.
