Bay Area Pet Fair

Join us September 16 & 17, 2017 for the largest gathering of adoptable animals in California history.

Pet Food Express Bay Area Pet Fair September 16 & 17, 2017

The Bay Area Pet Fair is the largest pet adoption event in California!

This year’s Pet Fair will be September 16 & 17 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. The Fair will feature more than 70 rescues and shelters and will welcome over 50,000 attendees, some 1,500 of whom are expected to go home with a new pet. Thousands of dogs, cats, and small animals of all sorts will strut their stuff looking for their new forever home!

In addition, the Fair is full of fun for everyone in the family! Admission and parking are free, pets on leash are welcome, and there will be live shows and demos, activities for people and pets, a variety of food and drink options, lots of giveaways and prizes, and tons of samples and goodies to take home. Make sure you bring a bag to get it all home – unless you’re adopting, then we’ve got you covered with our awesome new-adopter Wag Bag!

Since Pet Food Express began hosting the Bay Area Pet Fair in 2011, 4,760 pets have been adopted, more than a pet a minute during fair hours! And for each animal adopted at the fair, Pet Food Express donates an additional $50 to the group, totaling more than $280,000 in the last 6 years! Mike Murray, Pet Food Express’ Director of Community Outreach, calls the Pet Fair an “opportunity to educate people about the importance of rescue and adoption, find hundreds of homeless pets forever homes, and provide a fun weekend of activities for the whole family.”

We’re sure that this year’s Bay Area Pet Fair is going to be bigger, better, and more fun than ever before – we can’t wait to see you in sunny Pleasanton in September!
