My Mutt Stories: Audrey

Audrey

Featured My Mutt... "Audrey"

Audrey

Audrey was abandoned at the age of 7, found as a stray, and taken to a kill shelter. On the day of her termination she was saved by a rescue and lived with a foster for 6 months before I met her. Audrey decided when we met, as did I, that we were destined to be together. Her true personality came through over the months and years we have been together. At 13 she has an extensive vocabulary, is active in agility, and accompanies me to work. We regularly hike with her dog hiking posse, and she travels with me across the coast and to Canada. Most recently, she is featured in a wonderful book published by National Geographic entitled "Unconditional: senior dogs, deeper love" by Jane Sobel Klonsky, which highlights the efforts of folks who rescue senior dogs as well. The day I adopted Audrey, I promised that we would be together for the rest of her life.
