My Mutt Stories: Molly

Molly

Molly came into our lives unexpectedly. We were considering a local rescue site that specializes in importing rescue dogs from abroad and we were quite taken with the beauty of some of their black-and-white spotted mutts. They had video on their site that helped personalize the dogs a bit, which we found useful and encouraging. But we thought we would check in with Milo Foundation (where we had adopted our last dog) to see about some of their Lab-mix puppies. When we visited Milo, we learned that the puppies had been fostered out till they came of age, but they offered us a cute Boxer-mix adolescent named Lali, about 8 months old. We walked her and fell in love with her happy, eager attitude, and by the end of that day we had decided to adopt her. We immediately changed her name to Molly. She's a handful, very energetic, always ready to play, and very cuddly. Now, if we can only teach her not to dismantle the toilet paper rolls!
