My Mutt Stories: Stella

Stella

Stella was owner surrendered to NorCal Boxer Rescue when she was 11 weeks old. Someone bought a boxer puppy and then realized they bought a boxer puppy (full of energy and mischief) and did not think they would be able to care for her properly. As the transport coordinator, NCBR asked me to go get her since our window of opportunity was short and we didn't want her to get dumped at a shelter. When I brought her home to keep safe until a foster home could be found, my husband took one at her and said "no, that is trouble right there". Stella knew exactly what to do. She already had me wrapped around her paw, so she quickly endeared herself to my husband and our old grumpy male boxer. She quickly melted all our hearts and we discussed her adoption fee that night. She brings us joy every single day and she put the spring back into our old boxer's step.
